3M™ Thinsulate™ HT 400P for sound insulation - ideal for high temperatures
3M™ Thinsulate™ HT 400P is a sound deadening, sound deadening product designed to accommodate irregular spaces behind trim, attic and instrument paneling.
Fills voids to reduce unwanted noise as the vehicle travels. It can be processed using conventional techniques such as die cutting and heat sealing. It resists up to 150°C continuously, withstanding peaks of 180°C.
Ideal for: Engine beauty covers, hood linings, front dashboard and engine covers.
Thinsulate HT series can be die-cut into standard flat parts with sealed edges.
It provides high sound absorption, is lightweight and can be easily bonded to many substrates by heat staking or ultrasonic welding.
3M™ Thinsulate™ High Temperature Acoustic Absorbers HT400P, HT500P and HT500PP are lined with a black, high performance, chemical resistant cloth designed to improve acoustic performance and provide resistance to engine compartment fluids.
